Gardening Club - Events

20th June, 7.30 pm: a visit to Liz and John Foster’s Garden in Walkington.

18th July, meet at Black Horse at 6.45: an evening visit to Bridge Farm House, Great Heck. £3.00, including refreshments.

19th September, 8.00 pm, Little Weighton Village Hall. Chris Wilson will give a talk on “The Flowers of the Yorkshire Coast”. Chris is a farmer from Hackness in North Yorkshire who has an extensive knowledge of wild flowers and he will give us a tour of the whole Yorkshire coast, featuring some very familiar places and some others you may not have been to.

17th October, 8.00 pm Little Weighton Village Hall: Harriet Linfoot, Recycling Officer from the Council will talk about composting.

21st November, 7.15 pm, Little Weighton Village Hall: AGM and quiz. This quiz is written by Doug Stewart, so should be amusing and we can all take part. We will be inviting our friends from North Ferriby and Skidby to join us for the quiz and refreshments.

Everyone is very welcome to come along – you do not have to join. We just charge £1.00 an evening to cover the cost of hiring the hall and tea and biscuits. For further information please contact the Secretary, Prue Campbell on 01482 844461.
